Meet Denim. Husband. Father. Friend.
Anyone who knows Denim can tell you that one thing stands above the rest in his life: family.
Denim married his sweetheart Ellen and the two of them have 5 wonderful children together and 1 incredible son-in-law. When Denim isn’t working, he is with his family…and the Slade Family is fueled by adventure!
Whether it’s hiking, biking, traveling, or simply laughing in the car together, the Slades bring the party.
Within their community, Denim works closely with the youth in their church group and members of the hispanic community. He loves the Spanish language and Hispanic culture and will likely pick up the phone with cheery ‘Hola! Como Estas!’
Denim, Ellen, and their boys currently reside in St. George, Utah, but are true Texans at heart. They lived, worked, and raised their children in El Paso, Texas and enjoy traveling back ‘home’ as a family as opportunity allows them.
Is Denim a C, O, R, or E?

Meet Dr. Slade. Innovator. Mentor. Coach
Dr. Denim L. Slade, is one of the few Ph.D.-level coaches in the world. While Denim didn’t begin his educational and professional journey with the intention to pursue a PhD, he has always been fascinated with personality and what makes people ‘tick.’ He knew early on that he was meant to work with people.
This added training provides him with depth, insight, and a thorough understanding of theories, practices, and mechanisms that are proven to create meaningful change in people’s lives and relationships–both personal and professional.
Denim practiced therapy for over 22 years before moving into Coaching. He has advanced training and experience in Healthy Relationships (communication, conflict resolution, improving connection, healthy sexuality, etc.), Adolescent Development (improving relationships at home, school, and with peers), Parenting, and Trauma. C.O.R.E. is his unique temperament/personality profiling system that helps people gain greater understanding of themselves and others, empowering them to become healthier individuals and to have healthier and happier relationships.
Dr. Slade’s TMS clinic utilizes a unique approach to address variables that research has tied to depression and anxiety that are frequently overlooked with traditional medication and therapeutic practices.
His experience, education, research, and clinical practice are the exact reason C.O.R.E. and the Healthy+Happy Program came to be. Rather than relying solely on one or two schools of thought, Healthy+Happy is a results-based program that pulls from numerous therapy and coaching practices.
