21 JUNE 2023 – CAMILLE KENITZER
When I first learned about C.O.R.E. and the 7 principles of Healthy+Happy, I was the typical archetype for those who reach out for help to improve life circumstances and relationship dynamics: a middle aged wife and mother, knowing that things needed to be different but didn’t know quite how to get there.
The dysfunction happening in my life had reached a boiling point that was not sustainable.
My Search for Answers
I have always been an avid learner, soaking up all I can on subjects that I find interesting, buying the latest self-improvement books, listening to podcasts, diving into subjects like habit change and parenting. I love wrapping my brain around something and soak it all up to the max! I was always looking on how I could be different, ways to be a different adult me. As a primary “O” many attributes can seem unprofessional, immature, or flaky. I now know also that a trait of an “O” is that excitement to learn all the things, or at least for this “O” it is.
The first thing I learned from Dr. Slade was that who I was, was awesome just the way I was. Self improvement is a great thing, but should not be used as a way to not feel enough or change the core of who we are. I learned that skills, partnerships, and processes can help me with my weaknesses. He was that partnership at first, someone to hold me accountable, and the 7 principles in his program taught me the skills and continues to do so!
The secret of being happy is accepting where you are in life and making the most out of every day.
What Changed?
Enter C.O.R.E. – that quickly became my new deep dive! It has been the simplest and most practical tool I have been able to use to better understand myself and others. Most importantly the relationships I cherish the most, my five sons and my husband. The thing I love the most about C.O.R.E. is that we view people automatically in a positive light. We give them them space to be who they are, we assume good intentions and seek to understand what motivates the other person. Oh what the world could be, if we could all learn just that!
Differences no longer divide but can bring vitality and diversity of thought and action.
I am forever grateful for the knowledge that I’ve been propelled to learn because of difficult circumstances. Sometimes pain is the catalyst for growth. That is the case for me. I hope to continue to grow and I’m eager to share that knowledge and help people on their own journey through being a Healthy+Happy Coach.

A Bit About Me...

A while ago my husband Eric and I joined Dr. Slade on his podcast! We took some time to discuss the Window Of Tolerance and the importance of staying in your upper brain, something I learned early on as I went through the Healthy+Happy Program with him.
